Inscriptions: "IN GOD WE TRUST, " "LIBERTY, " and the year of mintage. Reverse: Displays the US Coat of Arms. A heraldic eagle appears behind a US flag shield with an olive branch in its right talons and arrows in its left. 13 small stars are positioned above the eagle to symbolize the original colonies.
